Flat-Out Love - Jessica Park I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book.
In the beginning, I couldn't totally connect to the story and felt like it was a chore to read. At one point, I even played with the idea of just giving up.

I AM SO HAPPY I DIDN'T FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THAT IDEA.

As I continued reading, I began to fall more and more in love with the story.
Julie was a great character. She had a good heart and went out of her way to help people. She had her own problems, but put them aside to focus on everybody else.

I loved Finn but I didn't fall in love with him. The banter between Finn and Julie was hilarious and there were some swoon worthy moments but I never felt completely connected to him. There was something that I always thought was missing between them.

Matt. Matt. Matty Matt. I ADORED him. I loved to see Matt and Julie's relationship develop. With his geeky, awkward demeanor, I was totally captivated by him. It started out slow and sweet and eventually progressed into something beautiful between these two friends.

Celeste was also one of my favorites. She was quirky and different and although she was damaged, there was an underlying strength in her. I loved to watch her transformation from being a complete outcast, to someone who began to have friends, paint her nails, and read fashion magazines.

When everything was finally out in the open I was completely blindsided. When I found out that Finn was dead and Matt was pretending to be him on Facebook the only thing going through my head was "Did something go wrong with my copy of the book? Am I hallucinating? Did I seriously just read this?" I just couldn't grasp it all. When I did slow down and think about everything, it did perfect sense.

And OH, WHAT A PERFECT ENDING! I swear, my face was practically splitting in half with the force of my smile.
All in all, I went from having to finish this book out of obligation, to devouring it!
